Based around a human-centered design approach, and through lead and supportive roles, I immerse myself within organizations to understand the overall end-to-end experience with an equally heavy focus on visual design. Fusing together my core skill sets of research, strategy and design, I help brands uncover new opportunities, innovations and transformations to drive engagement, enhance conversion and happiness.
For seven months, I was part of the creation and implementation of Day Off, Go Vote (DOGV) - a nonpartisan organization with the goal of informing the American voter leading up to the 2020 Presidential Election. DOGV provided voters with voting resources, general voting statistics, email templates to help with conversations between employees and their employers, and more.
During the last three years, I have worked with The Mars Society on various pro bono projects, including the creation of their MarsVR logo and patches, Mars Desert Research Station (MDRS) crew patch design, design for their upcoming mobile app, and more.
For over three years, in addition to day-to-day design projects, I helped 7Nine Partners with the business functions and requirements of running and growing a design firm including: B2B operations, process and methodology framework, business development, partnership development, accounting, legal, and more.
For two years, I worked with Creative Spot on design projects for various local, national and international clients, including Budweiser, Columbus Airport Authority, and more. I helped manage multiple projects, while ensuring quality and efficient completion.
For one month, I worked with ABB to create a digital tool that pulled data and displayed equipment vitals, plant/site information, raw material costs, etc. The dashboard allowed ABB clients and associates to better prevent equipment downtime, reduce servicing costs, and much more.
For three months, I worked with Cardinal Health (OneSource) as UX Lead to develop holistic dashboards encompassing patient and prescription information for internal usage. These dashboards allowed associates to easily identify patient trends, company performance and much more.
For six months, I worked with the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation to completely redesign their current website. As Lead Designer, my responsibilities involved, but were not limited to: rapid wireframing, rapid prototyping, design exploration & direction, stakeholder interviews, design system creation & maintenance, QA testing, design handoff, client presentations, and more.
For seven months, I worked with M/I Homes to enhance the customer journey by creating a portal that educates and guides the home buyer through the construction process and into new home ownership. The tool organizes and directs home buyers by using a task-based engine, and serves as a communication hub throughout every step.
For eight months, I worked with Vertiv to create unique interaction models for exploring data available within their data lake. During this time, I created user interface concepts ranging from touchscreen lakes users could digitally dive into, to augmented reality where a user can physically interact with the data using a tablet.
For eight months, I lead an effort to analyze Gap's supply chain data, and then determine how to improve their associate's experiences during the stages of distribution. This resulted in the introduction of an entirely new process of generating business intelligence reports. The process involved gathering initial documentation, creating a set of dashboard wireframes to best interpret the data, reviews, and building live dashboards in PowerBI.
For eighteen months, I worked with KeyBank on multiple projects. One of the larger projects I was involved with included the creation of an in-branch digital financial tool. Through stakeholder meetings, customer interviews, usability testing, rapid prototyping, and much more, I helped build the KeyBank Small Business Wellness Review (SBWR).
The SBWR tool allowed KeyBank branch associates to better determine which financial products KeyBank would recommend to their customers. One of the many positive outcomes of this project is that it helped further place KeyBank within the high-volume, high-specialization market.
For four months, I worked with Huntington Bank to define the desires and functionalities of the ideal online financial product for their customers. During this time, I provided design and research services to help bring this idea to life.
The result: The Hub – Huntington’s new digital banking experience, designed to help the customer look out for their money. It includes features like Spend Analysis, Spend Setter, Look Ahead Calendar, Heads Up℠, and Savings Goal Getter℠
For three months, I dove deep into the details of the Owens Corning data collection process. With the information I gathered, I created a resource workbook to help streamline the number of quality data systems the company uses - increasing employee and equipment efficiencies.
For five months, I conceptualized drone and battery technology integrations within Chevrolet vehicles. The drone concepts served a unique and functional purpose, and enhanced customer experiences with the vehicle. I worked directly with General Motors designers in Detroit, Michigan & Columbus, Ohio, and the concepts incorporated technologies feasible within the next decade.
For eight months, I creatively directed projects alongside various Art Directors and Graphic Designers at SBC Advertising (now Fahlgren Mortine). The day-to-day work included, but was not limited to: catalog layout, ad concepting and execution for large retail and B2B clients, logo development, marketing collateral design, and client presentations.
For two months, I worked with Ologie on a strategic development and branding project for the city of Columbus. We conducted creative workshops, interviews, and large stakeholder meetings, which lead to a fully-developed concept for the branding and management of a new Columbus deconstruction collective.
The concept is named Building Blocks, and it is a collaborative organization with public and private roots alike. Its goal: Restore and open 2,000+ dilapidated lots for parks, gardens and new development; Employ 2,500 formerly incarcerated citizens; Redirect 12 million cubic feet of material from landfills; And reintroduce 11 million feet of reclaimed lumber into the market.
